LongShot Farm operates year round, enjoying both indoor and outdoor arenas. With your support, we've been able to offer some amazing programs in addition to traditional lessons, training, and coaching:

Youth Academy

Lessons for All Ages

- Pony Pals Pre-K for our youngest riders

- small groups for every level rider 

- English and Western disciplines

Adult Riding Lessons
- on your own horse or one of ours

- a la carte or as part of a training package

​Ground School
- classical dressage in-hand principles combined with traditional western ground work
- offered November through April
- all levels welcome, school horses available or bring your own


Ladies Nights (now Queenyboppers)

- open to anyone, school horses available

- beginners welcome
- low-key review of riding basics in small groups with snacks and social hour

- non-riding sign up spots available too, just come socialize!


After School Program - Year Round

- riders age 12 to 19 who have been in LSF or Mytalisha's Dream lessons for at least 3 months are invited to apply

- be a part of the LongShot Farm Team and learn about horse care, management, and development

- see what goes into a National level training program and spend time with our World caliber horses

- participants earn extra ride time through volunteer time at the barn

- advanced study groups for teaching techniques, horse training, and business management

- visit our Forms Page for an application!

Advanced Programs:

Young Horse Development Program

- Young Horse I - groundwork for weanlings, yearlings, and two-year olds

- Young Horse II - colt starting short course

- Young Horse III - colts under saddle; 2 and 3 year old development


Apprenticeships and Internships 

- career-oriented intensive study opportunities for high school juniors through graduating seniors


Show Team

- all current lesson students of all ages are invited to apply

- our show team competes in WSCA events, Dressage, Western Dressage, and working western

- our distinguished school horses are available for lease for show team riders

- Teenybopper Show Team scholarships available for eligible Teenyboppers from Mytalisha's Dream Riding Center
