Our Story

At LongShot Farm, we believe in taking the time it takes in developing both horse and rider. Whether you choose to pursue reining, dressage, pleasure, ranch, games, or trail, we strive to help you teach your horse to carry himself properly to enhance physical health and wellness. Our variety of training and lesson options promote both physical and mental health for a positive partnership between horse and rider. At LongShot Farm, we strongly believe in combining Classical Principles with traditional Western Horsemanship to create safe, sound, pleasurable, and versatile horses. Working with concepts presented in the Classical Training Scale can improve every horse, no matter it's profession or pedigree.

In 2023 LongShot Farm relocated to Red Rock Stables in Eau Claire, WI. This was an amazing Full Circle move for us. Both Kari and I are Eau Claire area natives, and we are beyond grateful for the opportunity to bring our program to the Chippewa Valley. Jennifer Bull

Jennifer is a UWRF Equine Program graduate and has over 20 years of experience helping riders achieve their horsemanship goals. She provides customized training for each horse and rider in many disciplines, ranging from NRHA, NVRHA, and NRCHA to breed show Western and English pleasure, and now Western Dressage as a WDAA Train The Trainers graduate.
No matter the discipline or level of horse and rider, Jennifer’s diversity brings a unique perspective to any training session.
Jennifer is available for lessons and clinics, on your horse or one of the Farm's proven lesson horses. Hunter and Western Pleasure, Trail, Reining, Ranch Riding, Cattle Handling, and Western Dressage instruction are all available! Jennifer also offers select horses for sale, taking care to match horse and rider for long term success.
Jennifer has coached clients to Ranch Horse World Championships as well as Ranch Horse Rookie of the Year. She’s trained NRHA Rookie of the Year competitors, as well as successful Non-Pros and Amateurs. She’s trained and coached multiple Regional winners in AHA and AQHA competition, AHA National Top Ten's, as well as WDAA World Show Top Five's and AQHA World Champions.

Kari Wegenke

Kari has a lifetime of experience rooted in POAs and stock horses. She is an accomplished rider in many disciplines ranging from pleasure and reining to speed events and jumping. Kari is an ARIA certified instructor, and ran her own academy program for over ten years specializing in youth riders of all levels. After taking several years off from teaching, Kari returned to showing - this time on a Half Arabian! This pair went on to a National Top Ten in western dressage.
We are so happy to have Kari join the LongShot team as our Youth Coordinator and Assistant Instructor.

Our Team

We are pleased to work with a strong group of equine professionals to keep your horse and our school horses at their absolute best. We schedule regularly with very qualified veterinarians, equine chiropractors, body workers, and farriers.
